Rename
I renamed my blog. "Work, Whining, and Weight Loss"... I dunno, I think it's at least more descriptive than "Random Thoughts," right?
Current work story: I love my kiddos. Worked a lot this weekend, but it was mostly driving them around to a couple things and doing my homework while I waited. I also colored a picture of Flounder and Sebastian when Sarah and I were hanging out while Meghan was napping. :) On a sort of work note, I've got a phone interview in the morning and a real interview (different place) on November 11... I appreciate any and all prayers that they go well!
Current whining: Honestly, life is going pretty well right now, not too much to whine about. Although I could always use less homework...
Current weight loss: This morning's post basically says it... I've been working really hard lately and I'm seeing pretty good results... I'm not one of those people who deprives myself, but it really is all about moderation and self-control.
Haven't done this in awhile, but...

25 by 25 (10-24-11)
This week, I lost 1.8 lbs. and while that's really good, I'm also a little upset because I weighed yesterday and was another 1.4 lbs. below what I was this morning, even though I was under my calories for yesterday... weird. Oh well, though. I know that if I keep working hard it'll show. Not going to give up.

25 by 25 (10-17-11)
Well, I lost 2 lbs. this week... I was really hoping for more since I had gained over the break and this just puts me almost back where I started, but I'll take what I can get. 2 lbs. in a week is still great. I've done really well the past few days, so I'm just going to really try to stick to that and do my best.

25 by 25
Oh yeah, forgot to mention something else.
A few weeks ago, I decided that I want to lose 25 lbs. by my 25th birthday, which is January 14. I then took a 2 week vacation... so I haven't had the greatest start, but I still think it's doable. I hesitate to post this online, in case I don't make it, but I figure another layer of accountability never hurts, right? I will be satisfied if I get to a -25 overall, which would be a loss of about 10 lbs. from when I decided this, but I really want to get to -25 from that point, which would be about -40 total(!) It's going to be hard, but I think if I really try these next few months and stick to my diet and exercise, I can do it. It's right around 2 lbs. week... we'll see!

So I guess I kinda fell off this blogging wagon, too, huh? Oops. Let's see... I did an internship at Safe Harbor Counseling Center this summer and that was really good... And now I've started my last semester in seminary! So so ready to be done... I'm just tired of being in school...
I'm starting to look for jobs... which is both frustrating and exciting... I've only gotten a few replies, some of which have been no's, but I did get an email back from a place in Houston and the guy wants to talk to me some more, so hopefully that'll be good. I don't want to get my hopes up too much, but it's nice to at least have some positive feedback.
As far as the weight loss thing goes, I don't remember where I was last time I posted, but right now I'm at about minus 15 for the year... didn't do so great over the summer with it being so hot, but now that it's cooling off, I'm doing pretty well. Also, my mom and I are having a competition to see who can exercise the most. We started in August, and whoever has exercised the least amount of days by the end of the year has to pay the other one. I've also been doing pretty well with my running (see my other blog) and I hope to be at 5k by the end of the year.
All in all life is good. I'm blessed to have great family and friends that support me, and a wonderful job (I work as a nanny). I love those kids... gonna miss them a lot when I graduate and most likely move somewhere else! God is good.
